Privacy Policy (English)

Since SHIFT manages with personal information, we (”SHIFT”) build and post this policy to secure personal information of all subjects of information and handle with related issues rapid and swift, regards to <Personal Information Protection Act>.

Article 1 Purpose of Managing Personal Information

1. SHIFT uses the collected personal information only for the following purposes. Managing information will not be used for other purposes besides which is written, and if addition or modification of managing purpose is necessary, we would execute all the required actions, regards to Article 18 of <Personal Information Protection Act>.

   (1) Management of event Applicants and Participants

   Personal information of Applicants related to the events hosted or organized by SHIFT are proceeded as a purpose of verifying Applicants' intention to register, identifying and certifying themselves as necessary, managing Participants during events, verifying consent of legal representatives when processing personal information of children under 14 years of age, guiding and notifying various events, and handling the tasks related to the event.

   (2) Providing goods or services

   Personal information is processed for delivery, issuance of a certificate of completion of the event, provision of contents, identification, and payment of fees, such as prize money and goods obtained by drawing or awarding in the course of events hosted or organized events.

   (3) Promotion and internal management of events

   In the promotion process of events hosted or organized by SHIFT, personal information is processed for the purpose of using photos of previous events and convenience in the process of taking over.

   (4) Collaboration with partner companies

   If a session hosted by SHIFT and supported/sponsored by a partner company is held, or partner companies want to provide advantages related with startup or employment to participants, personal information will be processed for the purpose of the session.

Article 2 Processing and holding period of personal information

1. SHIFT processes and retains personal information within the period of personal information retention and use under the Act or the period of personal information collected by the information subject.

2. The period of personal information processing and retention is as follows.

   (1) Sign up : Until the period of withdrawal. Until the case closes, if related to one of the cases below;

   • When an investigation, bond, debt, or other reasons occur due to a violation of the relevant statutes, until the relevant settlement is made

   (2) Application and participation of the event : Until the period of use recorded in the collection of personal information expires

   (3) In the case of transaction records, such as marking, advertising, contract details and performance under <the Act on the Protection of Consumers in Electronic Commerce, etc.>, by the date specified by the relevant statutes;

   • Records of marking and advertising: 6 months
   • Supply record of contract or subscription withdrawal, payment, goods, etc.: 5 years
   • Records on handling consumer complaints or disputes: 3 years

   (4) For the period of personal information retention based on other statutes, by the date indicated in the collection of personal information

Article 3 Rights, duties, and methods of exercise of information subject and legal representatives

1. The information subject can always exercise the right to read, correct, delete, and suspend personal information on SHIFT within the limits prescribed by the relevant statutes.
2. The rights under Act 1 can be exercised through a written, e-mail, or FAX communication channel pursuant to Article 41 Act 1 of the Enforcement Decree of the Personal Information Protection Act, and SHIFT will take action without delay.
3. The rights under Act 1 may be exercised not only by the information subject but also by the legal representative or the delegated representative. In such cases, you must submit a power of attorney "Notification on how to process personal information (No. 2020-7)” in attached Form 11.
4. SHIFT can determine whether the person who made the request is himself or his representative when requested for perusal, correction, deletion, and suspension of processing under the right of the information subject.
5. The right of the information subject may be restricted by Article 35 Act 4 and Article 37 Act 2 of the Personal Information Protection Act by requesting the suspension of the perusal and processing of personal information.
6. A request for correction or deletion of personal information cannot be made without regard to the Personal Information Protection Act if the relevant personal information is specified as a subject for collection in other related statutes.
